La formación del político según Foucault

Michel Foucault muere en el año 1984, pero antes de partir escribe su testamento filosófico llamado El coraje de la verdad (Foucault, 2010). En él está la madurez de su pensamiento y su preocupación filosófica, construir un sujeto libre, verdadero y ético con una actitud crítica, riesgosa y valerosa. Sócrates,
encarna esa figura de sujeto libre y ético que muere por sus principios y por la verdad. Foucault revindicará a este personaje en los diálogos Apología, Criton y Fedón; en este sentido, el escrito valora las enseñanzas ético políticas que dio en su momento Sócrates para una vida buena y bella, y que se mantiene vigente gracias a la lectura foucaultina de Sócrates. El artículo intenta no demostrar, pero sí interpretar lo que requiere un filósofo hoy para hacer de su vida una obra de arte, asumiendo un protagonismo político en la sociedad.
