For reviewers

Articles must be submitted through the OJS platform. The receipt of a manuscript does not imply its approval for publication.
All submitted texts undergo an editorial process that begins with a preliminary review conducted by the editor or the Editorial Committee, who verify the thematic relevance of the manuscript in accordance with the journal’s scope and focus, as well as its originality through the iThenticate software or any other tool used by the journal for text similarity analysis.

The result of this analysis may be shared with the authors along with a general assessment, at the discretion of the editor. However, in some cases, when the level of similarity is considered excessive or potential misconduct is detected, the rejection decision may be made directly as an editorial determination.

Once it has been established that the article meets the thematic and formal requirements, it will be sent to two academic peers under a double-blind review system, in order to ensure independence and transparency in the process.

Peer reviewers will have thirty (30) calendar days to issue their evaluation, which may be extended upon request. In case of discrepancies between evaluations, the manuscript may be sent to a third reviewer or, alternatively, the editor may decide on its acceptance or rejection, taking into account the reviewers’ observations and a qualitative analysis of the evaluation content.

Reviewers must complete the evaluation form provided by the journal, considering aspects such as coherence between title, objectives, method, and results; relevance of the theoretical foundation; writing quality; currency of references; compliance with APA standards; and originality and contribution of the study to the disciplinary field.

The evaluation result may be:

  1. Publish without changes.

  2. Publish with modifications.

  3. Reject.

When the recommendation is “publish with modifications,” the reviewer must attach the corresponding comments. The author will have a maximum period of fifteen (15) calendar days to submit the revised version.

Once the manuscript is approved, the editing and style review phase will begin, during which communication with the corresponding author will be maintained until the publication of the respective issue.
