This research analyzes the new hegemonic pornography consumption among Ecuadorian adolescents from an intersectional feminist perspective, examining how it operates as a gender technology that reproduces patriarchal hegemonies. The research aimed to characterize the consumption of new hegemonic pornography and its implications as a promoter of subordination, fetishistic commodification, and the normalization of practices that primarily affect young women in public educational institutions in the canton of Cuenca. A mixed-methods study was conducted with 519 adolescents aged 12-18, applying structured surveys and semi-structured interviews that analyzed sociodemographic variables, consumption patterns, motivations, and access contexts. Quantitative analysis employed chi-square tests and descriptive statistics, while qualitative analysis used thematic analysis from intersectional frameworks. The research concludes that adolescent pornographic consumption operates as a device for reproducing gender hegemonies, where observed differences respond to systematic power effects rather than individual choices, documenting the hyperconnection paradox where highest-risk users face less family mediation. Findings demand intersectional educational interventions that recognize adolescent critical capacities while addressing risks of unmediated consumption, transcending moralizing approaches toward building more egalitarian sexualities.
